[ When the video first goes on, the screen is covered by a glove-covered hand, but after a slight shaky moment as it's set down on some sort of ledge, the hand retreats, revealing Kakashi standing outside. A few trees, still droopy with melting snow, can be seen in the background. Those familiar with the terrain might recognize it to be near Flame Building. ]

Hello, Luceti.

[ Kakashi dips his head in greeting, since he's addressing all of Luceti. ]

My name is Hatake Kakashi. Some of you may be familiar with me. For those of you who aren't, I'm a shinobi from a village called Konohagakure -- or Konoha for short -- in a country called "Fire Country." I am also the Commander of the Third Division, which is primarily a short-to-mid-range combat division, of the Allied Shinobi Forces. Many of you may be acquainted with or might recognize my comrades, amongst whom include Uzumaki Naruto, Nara Shikamaru, and Rock Lee. [ The names Kakashi lists aren't at random, but selected based on his observations of how recognizable those names would be. ]

The reason why I reach out to all of you today is simple. While things in Luceti currently are peaceful, and it appears we have nothing to worry about, the ever-present threat of the Malnosso and the Third Party remains. Kidnappings still occur, with seemingly no conceivable way to stop or fight them. Should there be an attack on the enclosure, at present, there is no organized force that can fight in concert to protect the enclosure and ensure the safety of civilians who might not be able to fight back. While some of us may be used to working together due to missions and drafts, as far as I am aware, no formal training or maneuvers are ever held to ensure all parties working together are using the best tactics and strategy. And from what I know, there are no formal safety measures in place to protect civilians or evacuate them to safer ground should a fight break out, as it did a few months ago.

On behalf of Konohagakure and Fire Country, by order of Namikaze Minato, the Yondaime Hokage-sama, I would like to formally extend an invitation to anyone who has military training, unique or magical powers, or immense skill in battle strategy, espionage and intelligence-gathering, field medicine, hacking, or other specialized skills to join us in forming an alliance. This alliance would not only give those of us from different worlds a chance to meet and discuss our shared interests in protecting Luceti's inhabitants, but would also give us the opportunity to learn and adapt how to fight with and against those with different training or powers. By conducting shared training sessions, maneuvers, disaster simulations, and taking missions together, we can share resources and power, as well as develop strategy.

As for who's in charge... seeing as we're all from different worlds, it would make much more sense for us to establish a council of leaders from different worlds. We invite leaders from other worlds who might have similar shared interests to contact us, and open a line of dialogue.

We look forward to hearing from you all.

[ Speech finished, Kakashi bows to the camera again, then reaches out and turns off the feed. ]

Well, hand blasters...which are basically guns that fire energy, don't have ammunition. The larger ones do have power cells or gas-tanks, though.

And if you need a place to store things, my cache on the farm has room. As does Nami's cottage, since she's apparently departed again. Neither were built by the Malnosso.

What is the likelihood that the Malnosso might be able to observe us stockpiling weapons and ammunition, even if we take safety precautions?

Less out here than in town. It's commonly believed they bug all the buildings they've built. But there's no structure out here.

So that means we could conceivably also conduct training and perform joint maneuvers undetected out here as well?

[ Kakashi's initial assumption had been that the entirety of the enclosure was under surveillance -- apparently that isn't the case. ]

Potentially. Though, again, that's just an assumption. It's the best we have, though. But if you're using the area out here, it'd be best if nobody had their journals.

So you're saying, leave the journals behind before we conduct any kind of training.

[ Kakashi nods, filing this fact away mentally. ]

I am, yes. If you feel the need to record things, use paper, or I suppose another recording device if you have it. I have a camera, if you need it.

[It's not like he needs it, with Artoo. By now they've reached the farm buildings. A large barn and a handful of sheds.]

Alright, there's something else. A while back I was given a beast of burden from home, he's friendly and tame so don't be alarmed. But he's just large, and I should check on him.

[And then Luke opens the barn up and reveals an enormous shaggy creature]

[ Kakashi had smelled the thing long before he laid eyes on it, and knew that Luke had some sort of animal in there, but he certainly had not expected to see...

Whatever that is.

It has the horns of a ram, the skin of an elephant, and an exceedingly strange set of large lips, and is covered in a rather woolly coat of long, stringy fur.

Kakashi's never seen anything like it before, though Luke did say the creature is friendly. ]

You don't... eat creatures like this, do you?

[ After a moment of staring. ]

Some do, but it's considered unrefined. A meal of desperation. This is a Bantha, and they're basically used for pack animals, transportation, and a lot of other things on desert worlds. They're native to my home planet.

How did this one get here? Did he arrive with you?

Mission points, actually. I requisitioned him as a farm animal.

[ Ah, and that leads them back to the whole point of the alliance. ]

Do you know if it's possible for us to submit mission points as a group?

I don't know, honestly. I'm going to guess no, after the stunt Stark pulled last year.

[ There's a slight pause as Kakashi thinks for a moment -- Stark. He thinks Luke might be referring to the incident he read about on Shikamaru's journal, but just in case-- ]

Are you talking about the device to get us all home?

I am. The one Tony, Jane, Loki, and some others worked on.

What exactly happened?

[ Kakashi had read that they were working on the project, but he's not actually sure what occurred after. ]

It malfunctioned. Badly. I would ask Shikamaru more, I was out of the enclosure and when I returned I wasn't really in the best state.

[He was in his sister's body...]

Hmm. I see. Well, I guess this just means we'll have to be smart about how we use mission points...

Yes, that's just what will have to happen. Requisitions should be done on an as-needed basis, and never in bulk

So, you said you wanted to show me something?

[ That's why they came out all this way, right. ]

Yes, that's right.

[Luke heads around to a second small shed, leaving the bantha be for now. He opens it and inside is a rather large collection of weapons. A few firearms of Star Wars and Mass Effect make, traditional weapons Kakashi might be familiar with like knives and swords, a small group of hovering Remote droids and the crown jewel, a jury-rigged heavy blaster. It's a bit less refined looking than a proper one, lots of rough edges and no paint, and the power pack is a gas can.]

As I said, I've been storing technological weapons for some time now.

[ Kakashi looks at this collection and has absolutely no idea what he's even looking at. Some of the weapons look a little like the guns that Kirk showed him months ago, and the ones that he occasionally attempts to do a bit of training with, but some of these are ones are completely beyond him. ]

What do these weapons do?

[Luke reaches over and picks up a blaster and one of the trio of pistols Mordin and Shepard left.]

These are projectiles weapons. A blaster, which fires energy, and a pistol left to me by a friend. The pistol uses physical ammunition and has a fairly limited supply of it. They're largely antipersonnel weapons, but a blaster has enough punch to shoot through a wall.

[Setting them down he gestures towards the remotes.]

And these are droids, like Artoo, but with a different function. They're more scouts, and fitted with cameras, stun-blasters, and with the help of a friend I've created some modular arms to allow them to grasp and carry objects. I use them on the farm, but they make fine sentries and scouts.

[And he moves over towards the large metal tube.]

And this is an artillery piece. A single shot from it can demolish a building or destroy most vehicles that aren't shielded against energy weapons. Like I said, it only has a few shots, but in the right hands it's certainly useful.

[ While Kakashi can understand, in theory, what these weapons do, and he recognizes the pistol, as it looks to be quite similar to the guns that he's been exposed to during his time in Luceti, everything else is new and strange and quite fascinating, to him.

He follows Luke over to where he's standing with the "artillery piece," looking it over, before letting his eye track back up to meet Luke's. ]

Would you be able to give me a demonstration sometime in the Battle Dome? I'd like to have an idea of what these weapons are actually capable of -- as well as any other weapons you might be familiar with using.

Of course. That's no trouble at all. I can simulate the larger weapons and a few other things without any difficulty.

[And then he draws his own blaster from it's holster and points it out over the farm towards a dead apple tree that needs to be burned anyway.]

As for the smaller one, here.

[And then he fires off a single shot. It strikes the tree and tears through it, burning a furrow through the ground behind it. The intense heat sets the dried wood ablaze almost immediately as well.]

It saves me the trouble of building a fire for debris later.
