[ Well, it seems he's got the basics down.

This isn't the afterlife, even if Kakashi's not entirely sure if he's actually still alive. And the wings don't do anything other than serve a mostly ornamental purpose. Which, in his book, means that they're completely useless and have about as much function as a second belly-button or a third nipple. Either way, they're itchy and uncomfortable and he had to cut holes in his flak vest so they weren't crushed against his body. A flak vest that was kindly delivered to him by his sensei, along with the rest of his gear. (He's only too relieved that it wasn't Naruto or Sakura or someone else who came across him when he was still in that relative state of undress -- what, without the mask and all.)

So here he is, fully dressed, with his journal-cum-communication device in his hand, flipped on. He supposes he should say hello this way since it would be easier to do this than to hunt down every shinobi of Konoha individually. It probably would also be useful for him to introduce himself to the rest of the network as well.

He's sitting on a tree stump ~~while Minato goes off to do something IDEK ok~~ and has his signature I Am Bored expression on his face. Or rather, lack of expression.

The edges of his wings, silver and tipped in black, flutter slightly. ]

Ah, is this thing on?

[ He brings the camera a little closer then, to make sure it's properly capturing him. Once he's sure, he raises a hand in something of a wave.

This is starting to feel like some sort of speed dating thing, minus the actual person sitting in front of him. Not that he's ever actually done speed dating, but he assumes that's how it'd work. ]

Yo. My name is Hatake Kakashi. I'm a shinobi by trade.

[ What does one say in introductions? Likes, dislikes, dreams, and hobbies? Ah, he supposes he can do that. ]

I'm not the kind of guy who talks about his likes and dislikes... My dreams are...hmm.... [ a beat ] none of your business. And I have many hobbies. None of which I want to tell you.

[ Another beat. ]

Kakashi-sensei! [Have a happy Hyuuga before Gai-sensei finds out you're here!] I am glad to see that you have arrived here well! Welcome to Luceti!

[That introduction... talk about pulling up old memories!]

Wow, I almost feel like I'm twelve again, hearing that.

[But she can't help smiling a little. A familiar face - or as much of a face as Kakashi gives - is no bad thing to see.]

Welcome to Luceti, Kakashi-sensei.

[There's an annoyed looking blond on screen.]

That's alot of words for so little information. You do realize that people are going ask you everything now, right?

[Wow. This guy sounded pretty rude. But, why would he be saying all this if he weren't someone new? After all, there's some clear evidence here. One, being Henry's never seen him before and while it's possible this guy has been around for a lot longer it couldn't be a coincidence; because two, it was new feather time. And the last clue being...well everyone responding excited to see this Kakashi guy.

The only question he's got is the most obvious one.]

You're new here aren't you?

[Heh. Well, that's certainly one way to do an introduction. Sure beats the usual, 'where am I?' schtick.]

It's funny. Usually the newbies are the ones who ask questions. I'm surprised you're taking this so well.

Oh wow, another ninja. So you're probably from the same world as most of the other ninjas here.

[Yuffie lives one floor up from all the ninjas around her age, so it's an easy bet. But to make it obvious why she asks, she can be seen leaning against her shuriken.]

[ Gai rarely has the patience to look through the journal. So many people chattering when there are far more exciting things to do! But ah, he's glad he took the opportunity to give it a look today.

Or well. Maybe glad is not the correct term. ]

[Law perks up a brow. Kakashi, you may have never been in Luceti before, and you have never met this guy, but that's the gleam of recognition in his eyes nonetheless.

Because he's met you.

Just not in Luceti.

But anyway, welcome to Luceti, the village not so hidden in the barrier.

[For some reason, directly responding to posts of new arrivals from his world isn't always the best of ideas. Imagine that.

Still, as Law's housemate/partner, he's able to listen in on the conversation between him and Kakashi fairly well. (A habit he's taken up now, as it's easy for the pirate to chat with them, being an unknown.)

I guess with Gai-sensei arriving a few months back, it's not surprising this place will pull you in too, Kakashi-sensei.

That didn't actually say anything at all!

The only reason I got anything from that is 'cause I know that name. You should at least say like your favorite color! Mine's pink. And like the things you like to eat or don't like to eat! Or maybe just tell a story about something you did once!

Right now, 'cept for the name, you'd sound suuuuuuuuper boring, mister.

[ She's seven and tactless, sometimes. ]

Oh? So it was you this time.

[Accompanied by his usual drawl, he sounds like he's making no more than an observation. Despite the lack of surprise, he doesn't appear to be disinterested, however.]

[After successfully locating all of Kakashi's things that he found lying around the village, Minato brings Kakashi home. He still can't believe how tall his student has gotten and he knows Kushina will have the same surprise. Even when he's a grown man, it still feels like he's nursing the young boy he knew all the years of his student's life.

Probably what he told Gai in Neji's party is really true. Once a sensei, always a sensei.]

Kushina, I'm home. [And it was a quick journey too, thanks to his hiraishin.] I brought with me a guest. [Nope, he's not going to tell who he is right off the bat. Let her see if she's going to recognize him. Minato beckons for Kakashi to enter with a smile like Go on, Kushina's waiting.]

[ Well hey that sure is a familiar half-covered face. ]

Ahh Kakashi? It's about time you showed up. [ He's not really surprised, given how many ninja are here. ]

[Woah, hey. If it isn't Kakashi-sensei.]

Man, if that was a dating advertisement you'd be shit out of luck.

[Yeah, so...Norma has no idea what the heck a "shinobi" is, so really all she got from this enticing introduction is that this guy is dressed like a total weirdo, looks like he either hasn't slept in months or is sick of existing, and his name - which is also pretty weird, but she's come to accept that at least. So, as she leans over the counter of the bar she's currently working at, Norma blows a quick raspberry out the corner of her mouth and rolls her eyes.]

Jeez, aren't you Mr. Interesting.

I've got a question. Aren't you way overheated with that mask on?

The Shinobi just keep coming, it seems. I think the Malnosso really like Konoha, especially if they're giving us our sensei's back. [ She giggles. ]

I assume Gai-sensei has already called you late? [ HAHAHA... but, no, Tenten will keep her smitten Kakashi-sensei is so cool feelings for another time. ] I think I'm going to have to talk to Shikamaru later about how much rewards his missions must be getting...
